Abstract expressionism and a 15-year old boy

When George was 15 years old, he watched a short retrospective on abstract artist Jackson Pollock, and was inspired. Unfamiliar with anything more than his high school art classes, George loved the colors, splatters, lines, shapes and movement of both Pollock and Robert Motherwell’s bold canvases. Like the men who inspired him, George has used tempura paints throughout his 45-year career and manages to be both precise and messy in his art.
